Bryce Canyon

Hoodoos - Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon National Park is located between Zion Park and Kodachrome Basin. It is one of the most beautiful parks in Utah and is therefore more frequented and less wild. Bryce Canyon is not a canyon, but rather a limestone plateau, located between 2’018 and 2’748 m. Once covered by the sea, it is now covered with fairy chimneys, here called hoodoos. Great hiking and photography is to be done in the park, to admire the rocks, ranging from yellow to dark red as well as chipmunks, a kind of small squirrels.

Travel video for YouTube | San Pedro de Atacama

This is a short movie filmed during the trip I made with my friend Michele back in February 2015 to northern Chile in the small town of San Pedro de Atacama. The film shows the small town of San Pedro overlooking the Licancabur volcano and located in an arid high plateau. And also a tour we took to the Valle de la Muerte (Death Valley) and Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley).

Man Mo Temple

Man Mo Temple - Hong Kong

I got to visit for the first time a temple in Asia. This one is located between large buildings and I would certainly recommend to anyone interested in visiting a temple in Hong Kong. It’s full of incense smoke in a quiet and welcoming atmosphere. Photographers are welcome, just do not forget to contribute with 2 Hong Kong Dollars 🙂

Easter Island

IMG_8345

This has to be one of the most amazing place I’ve ever visited. Rapa nui or Easter Island is a Chilean island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, at the southeasternmost point of the Polynesian Triangle. Easter Island is famous for its 887 extant monumental statues, called Moai, created by the early Rapa Nui people.

Puerto Natales

Fishing boats

It is in this quiet little harbor with colourful wooden houses (nice photography subjects) that really begins the discovery of the wild Chilean Patagonia. Very busy during the austral summer, 18h daily light, Puerto Natales has no great interest in itself, but is located at the edge of a fjord and facing the lasts – and superb – Andean mountains.

Punta Arenas

Punta ArenasView of Punta Arenas from the Mirador

I arrived in Punta Arenas on a typical Patagonian windy day. Just prior our landing I saw from my window a small island with only what I believed to be a church on top of it. I took a few pictures. Little I knew it was in fact La Isla Magdalena. The island is the breeding location for several species of seabirds, most notably the Magellanic penguin.

Travel video for YouTube | Dubaï

This is a long due video. My trip to Dubaï finally got his own video. I wasn’t very inspired by it, the city is so artificial and nothing really interested me to be honest, no story. So why I went there you may ask? Well, there was several reasons to it but I’m not going to comment on that. Let’s say that I had a very cheap air fare to go. It wasn’t very long, just 2 nights and back to Switzerland. I made this video which is very contemplative and on a point of view mode.

New York 2014 in Black & White

Manhattan Bridge

Yes I know, lots of NYC stuff in this site already but I can’t help myself when it comes to the Big Apple. I travelled with friends and among them, Attilio, celebrating his 50 years, that and photography made this trip.

As Woody Allen says in “Manhattan” : “New York is a black & white city”. I tried to edit my last pictures in b&w. Some I find Ok and other.. well… no too bad. Anyway, not great art for sure but at least I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed shooting them 🙂
