The project

I worked with three Bachelors students in social education at the “Haute école de travail social Genève” (HETS). They decided to look at the socio-professional integration of a person with a disability. They wanted to raise, study and observe the themes of integration, autonomy, self-determination and participation of people with disabilities.

For eight months, the three students and I immersed ourselves in creating an audiovisual record of the professional life a person with a disability, which made it possible to observe his reality in great detail. At the end of this research project, the students were convinced of the importance of accompaniment in the process of professional integration. They were also certain that the environment of the adapted job plays a key role since it allows the social participation of the person.
